Belindabilly is paving the way in eco-friendly, trendsetting fashion. Our clothing is designed to fit petites, however all of our items can be produced for a taller frame.

Designer

Belinda Paige Blakley was born in 1986 in Iowa City, IA. She began designing clothing with the instruction of her father at an early age. In 2010, she graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in Fashion Design and Fiber and Materials Studies. While at school Belinda was surprised to find her passion lay in the Fiber department, where she experimented with new textures and screen-printing, and researched the history of women's labor as related to home-making and domestic textiles, such as embroideries and making clothing. As a self-identified feminist, Belinda has always found the feminine form something to celebrated rather than hidden; this idea is a foundation of her design process, always striving to create interesting clothing for "real women" that is wearable and flattering.

Belinda founded Belindabilly while still in college and created her first two seasonal collections during her last year there. Belinda's sophomore garment in the SAIC annual fashion show was reviewed by the Chicago Tribune Magazine, and received honorable mention in the scholarship competition. Belinda currently lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband Chris. She serves on the Fashion Committee for Appetite for Art, an annual fundraiser for Boys and Girls Clubs of North Carolina, and has participated in several benefit fashion shows including the first annual Couture for a Cause in 2009 and Dance For Liberation's La Vie in 2011, benefitting Arts Access Inc. Raleigh.
